The incredible Christina Hattler of Mexchic made these blankets 15 years ago with a woman from Masagua. They were made in Central México, using Argentinian merino wool, on a long, slim plank of wood called a bastidor, with rows of nails hammered into the wood. The weaver would wind the wool upon the nails, creating a three dimensional textile. Unlike anything I’ve seen before. Absolutely stunning.
These blankets are very special and limited in supply.
Dry clean only.
